COMPOSITION

The box showcases the « Nard » perfume (100ml), from the Magdalena collection, the precious perfume chosen by Mary Magdalene to anoint Jesus and make him Christ (Christos + the one who has received the anointing).In addition to the « Nard » perfume, the case includes « Marie Madeleine » granulated incense and a charcoal roll. The roller contains charcoal pods onto which the incense is placed in pinches when the charcoal is ignited.

The fragrance is revealed at the moment of combustion. Granulated incense is the ancestor of perfume; thus, from the etymology of the word « perfume », borrowed from the French « parfum », we obtain « through the fumes ».
A soap scented with essential oils of incense and myrrh, enriched with cocoa butter and shea butter, completes the set.

Finally, the bookmark represents the statue of Mary Magdalene, in Vézelay’s Basilica,
holding her flask of perfume.
